Bob Cantu
Coach Bob Cantu has built a career defined by leadership, entrepreneurship, and a passion for helping young people succeed. Over more than two decades in collegiate athletics, he established himself as one of the respected basketball coaches and recruiters on the West Coast, mentoring hundreds of student-athletes while building successful programs at multiple NCAA institutions. Today, he brings that same experience and network to the rapidly evolving world of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), where he represents student-athletes and helps them maximize their opportunities on and off the court.
A graduate of Chapman University, Coach Cantu spent approximately 25 years coaching college basketball. Throughout his coaching career, he served in recruiting, player development, game preparation, scouting, leadership development, and program administration. Known for building strong relationships with players and families, he helped student-athletes grow both athletically and personally while preparing many to compete at the professional level or pursue successful careers after graduation.
Coach Cantu’s coaching philosophy has always centered on integrity, discipline, accountability, communication, and creating opportunities for young people. His extensive experience working with college coaches, athletic departments, boosters, and university administrators has given him a unique understanding of the collegiate athletic landscape.
Following his coaching career, Coach Cantu successfully transitioned into business ownership, becoming the owner and operator of Bob Cantu’s Pizza & Sports Bar in San Luis Obispo, California, and Marv’s Pizza & Sports Bar in Paso Robles, California. As a business owner, he has managed large staffs, multimillion-dollar operations, marketing campaigns, budgeting, customer service, licensing, community partnerships, and daily operations.
His entrepreneurial success has strengthened his expertise in branding, marketing, sponsorships, customer engagement, and business development—skills that directly translate into today’s NIL marketplace. By understanding both the business side of sports and the athlete’s perspective, Coach Cantu provides student-athletes with guidance that extends far beyond signing endorsement agreements.
Today, Coach Cantu is the founder of a full-service NIL representation agency focused primarily on men’s and women’s basketball while also representing athletes across all collegiate sports, including football, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, track and field, wrestling, golf, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, and other NCAA-sanctioned sports.

His combination of coaching experience, entrepreneurial success, and athlete-first philosophy allows him to guide student-athletes through one of the most important financial and professional opportunities of their lives.
Whether working with an elite high-major prospect, a transfer portal athlete, or a rising star at any collegiate level, Coach Bob Cantu is committed to helping student-athletes maximize their Name, Image and Likeness while building successful futures both on and off the field of competition.
